AHCC supplement prices, per capsule and per serving
The useful question is not which page shouts “best price.” It is which bottle has a price, a count, and a serving you can divide.
Every figure below is a one-time price, not a subscription discount stacked against someone else’s regular price. Multi-bottle bundles are ignored. Where a brand showed two prices on the same day, the note says so.
What we will and will not divide
- Cost per capsule = price ÷ capsule count, only when both belong to the same SKU.
- Cost per serving = price ÷ servings printed for that serving size.
- Cost per gram of AHCC is not shown. The labels here either give a blend that includes other ingredients or do not state grams of AHCC at all.
| Product | Price used | Per capsule | Per serving |
|---|---|---|---|
| NovaHerbs | $89.90 | $0.50 | $2.00 |
| Quality of Life | $79.95 | $1.33 | $2.67 |
| The Vitamin Shoppe | $59.99 | $1.00 | $2.00 |
| Swanson | $59.95 | $1.00 | $1.00 |
| AOR | CA$147.63 | $2.46 | — |
| Douglas Laboratories | $174.00 | $2.90 | $5.80 |
| HPD Rx | $82.99 | $0.92 | — |
| Olympian Labs | $99.99 | $3.33 | $3.33 |
NovaHerbs at $89.90
$89.90 ÷ 180 capsules = $0.499, shown as $0.50. $89.90 ÷ 45 servings of 4 capsules = $2.00 per labeled serving. Among the USD prices that are tied to a count, that is the lowest cost per capsule in this list. The 4-capsule serving works out to $2.00.
Other clear USD bottles
- HPD Rx: $82.99 ÷ 90 capsules on the bottle photo = $0.92. No serving cost, because the page’s “30-day” and “6 capsules a day” language does not match 90 capsules.
- Swanson: $59.95 ÷ 60 = $1.00 per capsule, and the labeled serving is one capsule, so the serving cost is also $1.00. The 500 mg is a blend.
- The Vitamin Shoppe: $59.99 ÷ 60 = $1.00 per capsule. The front label’s serving is 2 capsules and 1,000 mg, so a serving is about $2.00. The $59.99 figure comes from the product record; a live refetch was blocked.
- Quality of Life Kinoko Platinum: $79.95 ÷ 60 = $1.33 per capsule. The 2-capsule serving costs $2.67. Another page view the same day showed $74.96, so confirm checkout. Four capsules, the amount the brand calls 3 grams, is two servings, about $5.33 at $79.95.
- Douglas Laboratories AHCC Plus: $174 ÷ 60 = $2.90 per capsule and $5.80 per 2-capsule serving. Practitioner pricing may differ from the listed retail price.
- Olympian Labs 30-count: $99.99 ÷ 30 = $3.33 per capsule and per serving. The 60-count is $169.99 ($2.83 per capsule) and the 120-count is $309.99 ($2.58). No milligrams, so none of those is a potency value.
Left out of the USD math on purpose
- AOR is CA$147.63 for 60 capsules, about CA$2.46 each. It is not converted to dollars.
- American BioSciences lists $54.95 without saying whether that is the 30-count or the 60-count.
- Source Naturals displayed $52.98 behind potency and size selectors.
- Protocol for Life Balance did not show a price on the pages we could open.
